Abu John Mathew is a disputes lawyer focusing on commercial litigation and insolvency, with particular expertise in matters arising from the financial services sector. Since joining the Bar in 2012, he has developed a strong practice in handling complex and high-value disputes.
He represents a wide array of clients and regularly appears for both Operational and Financial Creditors before the NCLT and NCLAT, advising on diverse insolvency and restructuring matters. His practice includes representing banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, and asset reconstruction companies in securitisation and debt recovery proceedings before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, DRAT, and DRT. He also has considerable experience in commercial arbitration, particularly disputes arising from commercial contracts, infrastructure, power, and construction projects, where he has represented both private contractors and government departments/agencies before arbitral tribunals.
